Beginning with a blank canvas, any household paint can be used as a primer.
Sketch in your scene. This does not have to be completely accurate as the detail will
come in once painting begins.
Once you have the sketch laid out, you can then begin blocking in your colours from deep
to light orange & yellow to give an idea of where shadow and light will lay.

Somniare Messor - Work in Progress

Aside a few finishing touches
this is the complete piece.
I decided in the end that keeping
things simple were the best solution
and i feel that path really worked in
this case.

Calamain

I created this type font by hand for the world in which
Somniare Messor originates from some.
I then managed to scan each & turn into this unique language using
a specialist type font creation programme.
